I'm a mom of four (with three kids currently in EGUSD schools), an active volunteer and parent leader at McGarvey Elementary and Pleasant Grove High, and a Rancho Cordova neighbor - and I'm passionate about making sure that every single student is set up to succeed, both in-school and beyond.

I'm running to represent our area on the Elk Grove Unified School Board because I have the critical on-the-ground experience to lead, and because I know that with transparency, open communication, and the power of collaboration, our district can do so much more.

Promote high-quality, well-rounded, public education for all students, including social-emotional learning (SEL) so students can safely express and manage their emotions
Demonstrate compassionate leadership by committing to active listening and collaboration, ensuring ALL voices are heard, and working together with stakeholders to find effective solutions
Cultivate an empathetic and inclusive school culture to acknowledge and address the pervasive issues of racism, sexism, harassment, and bullying

Maintain fiscal responsibility to implement cost-saving measures without compromising the quality of education and services
Enhance student voice and leadership by supporting leadership programs that empower students to take initiative and lead projects

Build meaningful and strong community engagement/ collaboration with students, parents, teachers and administrators on important programs and policies

Foster inclusive and diverse learning environments that promote policies and practices that support diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within schools
Ensure equal access to educational resources that encourage curriculum development that reflects diverse perspectives and histories, ensuring all students see themselves represented in their education
Support equitable discipline practices that rely on transparency and accountability in disciplinary actions, focusing on fair treatment for all students
